ASSHO Afghanistan has adopted community based development that is doing activities with involvement of local communities.
The organization has adopted this approach to, enabling people to enhance their capacity to play a role in shaping the society of which they are a part. It works towards enabling groups and communities to articulate needs and viewpoints, to work collectively to influence the processes that structure their everyday lives and to take part in collective action that will contribute to making real, positive and lasting change. Given that the opportunity and the resources required to participate fully in society are more open to some groups and individuals, the priority, for those engaged in local, social and economic development and community work, is to work with the most marginalized groups and communities – those experiencing poverty, inequality, and social, cultural and economic exclusion.
